KEA Structural Engineers, was established in 2024 by Achille Kodom, PE, who previously founded EAKOM Engineering & Consulting, a Structural Engineering firm in 2012. With offices in Houston and Midland in Texas, we provide structural engineering design services for buildings in various market segments including residential custom homes, healthcare, commercial, mixed-use, institutional, K-12 and industrial facilities.

At KEA Structural Engineers, we strive to be an extension to your team. Since 2012, we have committed to providing the highest quality services and going and beyond expectations. From a small home remodel to a multi-million dollar project, we are passionate about every project we do. Our multidisciplinary experience allows us to explore unconventional solutions and unique expertise.

As structural engineering continues to evolve now and into the future, KEA Structural Engineers stands ready. Our engineering staff is licensed in multiple states in USA and overseas and is registered with the NCEES ( The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying - which facilitates registration in any state within the United States).

We are licensed in the following states: Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Oklahoma, Michigan, Louisiana, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina.

Leadership

E. Achille Kodom, P.E.

President | Principal Structural Engineer

Achille was previously Owner of EAKOM Engineering & Consulting, a Structural Engineering firm he founded in 2012 in West Texas (Offices in Midland and Lubbock). After selling EAKOM Engineering in 2019, he moved to West Africa where he founded VIKO Engineering & Construction, a construction management company that oversaw the design and construction of high profile multi-buildings mixed-use developments including Hotels, Medical Facilities and Residential Units prior to establishing KEA Structural Engineers upon his return back to Texas.

With over 20 years of experience in construction and structural design for a wide range of buildings and civil structures both in the United States and internationally, Achille oversees every aspect of the firm’s operations. His responsibilities include design, production, client satisfaction, contract negotiation, and overall profitability. Guided by his philosophy of being "More of a Partner than just a Consultant," Achille fosters a collaborative spirit in every project, working closely with clients to achieve their goals.

His extensive expertise designing with multiple structural systems, including steel, wood, concrete, masonry, and cold-formed metal framing, gives him the ability to offer his clients creative and and cost-effective solutions. Achille holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Université de Lomé in Togo (West Africa) and a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University.

Achille's design abilities are recognized by his fellow structural engineers, and they have involved him in many peer reviews of challenging structures.
